Este trabajo de investigacin, fruto de la colaboracin de profesores pertenecientes a los departamentos de Didctica e Investigacin Educativa y Didcticas Especficas, respectivamente, de la Universidad de La Laguna, que conforman el Grupo de Investigacin Educativa Sirius*, recoge los resultados obtenidos en tres estudios llevados a cabo en centros escolares de Educacin Infantil y Primaria ubicados en zonas de larga tradicin multicultural. El primero de estos estudios, se centr en la descripcin de la situacin de la emigracin en los centros y aulas; el segundo, tuvo por objeto describir las caractersticas de los proyectos curriculares y su desarrollo prctico en algunos de los centros y, el tercero, consisti en un estudio exploratorio de las percepciones de los inmigrantes familias y alumnado, acerca de las experiencias concretas de integracin experimentadas.
