El presente ensayo de visin compartida ha sido realizado por un grupo de investigadores expertos en el estudio del cambio tecnolgico en diversos sectores de la economa en Mxico. El contenido es trascendental, pues se refiere a uno de los sistemas agroalimentarios ms importantes de Michoacn de Ocampo, sobre todo, considerando que buena parte de los estudios en torno a la innovacin son habitualmente escasos en el sector rural. El objetivo de la investigacin fue caracterizar los esquemas de innovacin tecnolgica y su transferencia en las agroempresas frutcolas del estado de Michoacn de Ocampo, Mxico, empleando la perspectiva de redes sociales, a fin de favorecer un efecto sinrgico y de optimizacin de capacidades institucionalesorganizacionales de los actores involucrados en el sistema agroalimentario. Los aportes principales de la investigacin son: i) la contribucin metodolgica a fin de coadyuvar a la orientacin de las prioridades en el tema de investigacin y transferencia de tecnologa, ii) la forma de gestionar la innovacin, y iii) los esquemas de control y mejora orientados al fortalecimiento del proceso de innovacin tecnolgica y su transferencia.
