Adems de la actualizacin y revisin de todo el libro, esta nueva edicin introduce un captulo independiente (el 22) sobre Espectrometra de masas y otro nuevo, el captulo 29, sobre garanta de calidad. Los temas han sido introducidos e ilustrados con ejemplos concretos de inters y extrados del mundo real.
