Er steht auch fr eine Erfahrung, die die Autorinnen und Autoren whrend ihrer Entstehung gemacht haben. Der Band ist das Ergebnis eines mittlerweile mehrjhrigen Forschungs und Lernprozesses, der als Individualprojekt begann und mit dieser Gemein schaftspublikationeine Fortsetzung fmdet. Die Beitrge nehmen an der 1995 ebenfalls bei Leske + Budrich erschienenen Habilitationsschrift von Doris Lucke Akzeptanz. Legitimitt in der "Abstimmungsgesellschaft" ihren Aus gang und fhren die Legitimittsdebatten und soziologischen Risikodiskus sionen in der dort begonnenen subjektorientierten Perspektive fort. Als, work in progress' beleuchten sie fr ausgewhlte Gegenstandsbereiche Politikver drossenheit, Kirchenaustritte, Wissenschaftsskepsis, alternative Lebens und Arbeitsformen sowie neue Technologien erstmals auf gemeinsamer begriff lichtheoretischer Grundlage und mit einem konsequent gegen die Sichtwei sen und einseitigen Legitimationsdebatten der bisherigen Soziologie gerichte ten Blick. Auf diese Weise wird vermeintlich Altbekanntes neu entdeckt und sym bolische Politik, Glaubensfragen, Expertenmeinungen, experimentelle Le bensfhrungen, avantgardistische Arbeitsorganisationen, pionierhafte Zeit managements und technische Errungenschaften aus der Perspektive gesell schaftlicher Akzeptanz reanalysiert. Dabei gelangen die Autorinnen und Au toren zu z.T. berraschenden und theoretisch wie empirisch weiterfhrenden Erkenntnissen, die knftige Akzeptanzstudien im mehr als sprichwrtlichen Sinne der FRINKonvention , Further Research ls Needed' anregen kn nen.
