Product Description Her little black cat Moon gives Annie feelings of security and affection during a series of moves with her mother From School Library Journal KindergartenGrade 2 First published in New Zealand, this is the story of Annie, a child of a single mother, who is uprooted four times during her young life. Luckily, she has the company of her pet cat, Moon, to ease her through the tough times. The refrain, It isnt easy for a little cat to get used to a new home, is a soothing chant for Annie and for sympathetic readers as well. The fullcolor illustrations reveal the various crowded lifestyles and the unpleasantness that Annie, her mother, and her cat tolerate until they finally find a comfortable home with Annies grandmother. The straightforward text conveys the emotions of relocating and adjusting to change. A reassuring work that might find a place in collections for its bibliotherapeutic value. The story itself is nice, but I found the illustrations a bit underwhelming. I expected a little more detail based on the description. My son enjoyed the narrative, but I wish the pictures had been more vibrant. Still, it’s a decent read for the price.

Disappointed with the quality
Unfortunately, the book arrived with some pages crinkled and it didn’t look brand new. I expected better quality from Annie and Moon. The story itself is nice, but I can’t overlook the damaged condition it arrived in. Really disappointing.
