So enthalt er eine ausfuhrliche Stellungnahme zum christologischen Streit, wobei er sich gegen die HabitusTheorie fur die traditionelle AssumptusLehre ausspricht. Der Verfasser ist bislang noch nicht identifiziert worden; er scheint Schuler Hugos von St. Victor gewesen zu sein, kennt aber auch die Exegese der Schule Anselms von Laon, benutzt den Romerbriefkommentar Abaelards, die Werke Roberts von Melun, des Petrus Lombardus und ist auch mit der Kanonistik seiner Zeit vertraut, wovon die ausfuhrliche Behandlung der Ehelehre im Anschluss an I Cor.7 Zeugnis gibt. Obwohl der Kommentar nicht vollendet worden ist und mit der Behandlung von II Cor 10 abbricht, hat er grossen Einfluss auf die Exegese der Folgezeit gehabt.
