Le premier tome de l'Anthologie de la posie franaise du XX? sicle s'tait donn pour repres Paul Claudel et Ren Char, c'estdire les auteurs ns avant 1906. Michel Dcaudin, matre d'oeuvre de ce volume, en propose aujourd'hui une version plus ample (une dizaine de potes y trouvant place dsormais). Le second tome, compos par JeanBaptiste Para, prend tout naturellement le relais et s'ouvre sur les fortes prsences d'Andr Frnaud et Guillevic, ns en 1907. l'autre extrmit de l'arc temporel se trouvent les potes ns en 1945, anne charnire, choisie pour des raisons historiques, mais aussi, avouonsle, parce que le nombre de pages d'un tel ouvrage ne pouvait tre illimit. Nanmoins, trois potes prmaturment disparus (Belamri, Le Sidaner, GuezRicord) viennent clore cette anthologie. Plus qu'un ncessaire tat des lieux, c'est une invitation au voyage, la rencontre de voix singulires. Chaque lecteur pourra y nommer ses propres affinits lectives, tant il est vrai, comme le disait Paul luard, que 'le meilleur choix de pomes est celui que l'on fait pour soi.'
