Il a traduit une dizaine douvrages du franais au crole.N en 1936 PortauPrince en Hati, Georges Castera est pote et dessinateur. Il tudie la mdecine Madrid, puis sinstalle New York. Figure importante de la posie francophone contemporaine, il crit en franais et en crole. Ds les annes cinquante, sa posie est chaleureusement accueillie. Son oeuvre qui rassemble une trentaine de recueils de pomes est un hymne la vie, lamour, la libert et la rvolte. Il a notamment reu le prix Carbet de la Carabe en 2006. Il vit PortauPrince.Lyonel Trouillot est n en 1956 PortauPrince. Romancier, pote et professeur de littrature, ses oeuvres ont t traduites en plusieurs langues. Ses romans dont Les Enfants des hros, 2002, Bicentenaire, 2004, parus chez Actes Sud, ont connu un grand succs. Il a reu en 2009 le Prix Wepler pour son roman Yanvalou pour Charlie, publi galement chez Actes Sud.
