This volume provides evidence for the argument of a central place of pedagogy in the interpretation of Gramscis political theory. Gramscis view that every relationship of hegemony is necessarily a pedagogical relationship makes it imperative to dismiss narrow and formal interpretations of his educational theories as applying to schooling only. I recently picked up 'A Pedagogy to Change the World' and it's a must-read for anyone in education. Antonio Gramsci’s insights are profound and really resonate with current teaching challenges. The critical studies perspective opened my eyes to new teaching methods I can adopt in the classroom.
