Para desarrollar la aplicacin del efecto corona en materiales cermicos, en la Universidad Central y desde el grupo ESSOPTO, se dise y desarroll una cmara de descarga con electrodos flotantes en donde se simularon las condiciones de atmsferas densas y el comportamiento del campo elctrico. Las pruebas experimentales desarrolladas y las simulaciones obtenidas en el proceso de investigacin, se compararon con los modelos tericos reportados en la literatura, logrando con lo anterior, optimizar el proceso de preparacin de las muestras cermicas objeto de estudio. La tcnica empleada de efecto corona, condujo a mejorar la conductividad trmica y elctrica de las muestras que despus fueron empleadas para la fabricacin de sensores de humedad relativa de piso y aire.
