L'objet de ce travail est l'estimation de la couverture vgtale partir d'images satellites hautes rsolutions en optique. Pour cela, nous proposons tout d'abord de modliser le transfert radiatif dans le couvert. Le modle propos consiste coupler les modles SAIL et Adding permettant ainsi une modlisation fiable de la diffusion et de tenir compte du phnomne de hot spot entre les flux diffus. Ensuite, nous dfinissons le modle inverse qui permet d'estimer le taux de couverture partir des mesures en Rouge et en Proche Infrarouge. Pour cela, nous proposons une inversion semiempirique du modle coupl SAIL/Adding consistant talonner quatre paramtres. Par la suite, dans le but d'amliorer les rsultats, nous proposons de fusionner notre mthode avec des indices de vgtation. Nous avons alors propos une rgle de combinaison qui tient compte de la redondance entre les diffrents estimateurs. La dernire partie est consacre la cration d'une cartographie du taux de couverture. Nous nous plaons ainsi dans le cadre de la classification Markovienne. Afin de conserver les structures fines de l'image, nous proposons de considrer un voisinage adaptatif pour chaque pixel.
