Approaches to the Study of Administration in Student Personnel Work was first published in 1960. Minnesota Archive Editions uses digital technology to make longunavailable books once again accessible, and are published unaltered from the original University of Minnesota Press editions. New concepts in relation to the training of student personnel administrators are discussed in this pamphlet, which is No. 9 in the series, Minnesota Studies in Student Personnel Work. The material is based on the papers given at the Institute for Student Personnel Administrators, held at the University of Minnesota in August of 1957. The discussion centers on the use of the case study method, the integration of concepts and research findings from various academic disciplines, and the consideration of factors related to the basic policies of parent institutions. Contributors are Robert E. Merry, Harvard School of Business Administration; T.R. McConnell, University of California; Donald C. Pelz, University of Michigan; and Ben Willerman, University of Minnesota.
