Los ciclones tropicales, lluvias, nortes son fenmenos hidrometeorolgicos que, como lo demuestran los registros histricos y las evidencias contemporneas, afectan a la ciudad de San Francisco de Campeche. La intencin de este libro es presentar un anlisis de la manera en la que sus habitantes han aprendido a convivir con ellos y sus consecuencias. A lo largo del libro se mostrarn los elementos fundamentales por medio de los cuales sucede este proceso de convivencia. En primer lugar, se describirn las condiciones geogrficas y climticas de la ciudad en cuestin para mostrar su susceptibilidad a los fenmenos hidrometeorolgicos. Posteriormente, basados en documentos histricos y testimonios orales, se reconstruir y analizar cmo han adecuado el espacio geogrfico de la ciudad para no padecer los efectos de dichos fenmenos. Por ltimo, se concluir que en virtud de la recurrente presencia de ciclones, lluvias, nortes e inundaciones, en la ciudad de San Francisco de Campeche se han diseado estrategias y prcticas espaciales para hacer frente a estos fenmenos hidrometeorolgicos.
