Das Lernprogramm dieses Buches wurde im Rahmen von Tutorenveranstaltungen Uber mikrookonomische Theorie an der Universitat Mannheim (WE) entwickelt und erprobt. Seine wesentliche Funktion soll darin bestehen, dem Studenten als Arbeitsunterlage fUr die sorgfaltige Erarbeitung des Standardlehrstoffs der mikrookonomischen Theorie zu dienen. Es konzentriert sich auf die Gebiete der GUternachfragetheorie, der Produktions und Kostentheorie, sowie auf die Theorie der Marktpreisbildung bei einfachen Marktformen. Unser spezielles Anliegen ist es, die Xquivalenz verbaler, mathematischer und gra fischer Darstellungen hervorzuheben, was nach unserer Uberzeugung nicht in allen LehrbUchern deutlich genug zum Ausdruck kommt. SchwerpunktmaBig beziehen wir uns auf die LehrbUcher von A. E. OTT: GrundzUge der Preistheorie, 2. Auflage, Gottingen 1970 und von J. SCHUMANN: GrundzUge der mikro okonomischen Theorie, Berlin/Heidelberg/New York 1971. Daneben wird auf eine Reihe weiterer Werke zur Mikrookonomik und auf Spezialliteratur zu Einzelfragen hinge wiesen.
