Valpert 1975), gibt sie mit diesem pragmatischen Vorgehen den Anspruch auf, den Gegenstand "Arbeitsmoti vation" wissenschaftlich zu erfassen. Von einigen Ausnahmen abgesehen erscheint es so, als wlirden aus der betrieblichen Praxis entwickelte Techniken der Arbeitsin tensivierung durch Motivationserh6hung verallgemeinert und mit Elementen psy chologischer Theorien untermauert, bis der nachste praktische und effektive Vor schlag auftaucht, dem ebenfalls wieder nachtraglich eine wissenschaftliche Fundie rung unterlegt wird. Uns geht es in diesem Buch darum aufzuzeigen, da ein soIches Vorgehen kein wissenschaftliches Erfassen des Gegenstands "Arbeitsmotivation" ermCiglicht. Auf diese Weise k6nnen eventuell kurzfristige Intensivierungserfolge erzielt werden; ein Verstandnis der sehr widersprUchlichen Arbeitsmotivation und eine langfristige Perspektive, die diesen WidersprUchen auf der technologischen und Cikonomischen Seite des Arbeitsprozesses wie auf der Seite der PersCinlichkeitsentwicklung (u.a. Qualifikation und Arbeitserziehung) Rechnung tragt, ist so nicht zu erreichen.
