Arcana Colestia was the first and most comprehensive theological work published by Swedish visionary Emanuel Swedenborg (16881772). The body of this multivolume work is a versebyverse commentary on the inner spiritual meaning of Genesis and Exodus, but Swedenborg also includes descriptions of heaven and hell gleaned from his spiritual experiences. Volume 6 deals specifically with Genesis 3238, interspersed with a continued discussion of the concept of the Grand Man (also translated Universal Human). This edition is a reprint, with revisions, of a 1905 translation by John Clowes, edited by John Faulkner Potts.
