This sequel to part one of Brown's memoirs, deals with the second part of his career as a missionary priest. In the same fresh, firstperson style as the first book, he describes his appointments even further north, within the Arctic Circle. Brown depicts moving a community (lock, stock and barrel and at government instigation) from one side of a bay on the Arctic Ocean to the other. He also relates small, often amusing details, such as the story of a woman about to fly south to deliver her baby in safety, who carried a suitcase filled with whale meat to sustain her in labour, she said.
