El trabajo da pautas y evala la eficacia del modelo Fundaciones Produce (FP), cuya misin es impulsar la investigacin y transferencia de tecnologa al sector agropecuario. Desde su inicio el modelo ha sido alabado y desacreditado, lo ms grave es que el sistema no cuenta con instrumentos para medir su impacto en el sector. El objetivo es desarrollar una metodologa proponiendo indicadores bsicos para evaluar el desempeo e impacto del modelo FP. El diseo de los indicadores parte de una revisin de literatura y toma en cuenta los razonamientos sig.: a)conjuncin de todos los indicadores posibles a la fecha, establecidos como base de evaluacin del modelo FP en el mayor nmero de escenarios posibles, b)que faciliten una evaluacin integral del modelo FP, c)facilidad para ser sistematizados, d)oportunidad de digitalizar la informacin, siendo ms accesible y oportuna, e)que permitan su combinacin para usarse en evaluaciones globales o especficas y acordes a las condiciones cambiantes del pas y del mundo globalizado. Como resultado se disearon y describieron 68 indicadores; explicando su utilidad al medir el impacto del modelo FP en el desarrollo agropecuario de Mxico.
