After a career with the BBC, he now enjoys writing and research, with over twenty books in print combining local history with an interest in photography. Stephens first degree was in Psychology and his MA degree is in English Local History. He has served as Hon Secretary of the Leicestershire Archaeological and Historical Society. He lives in Leicestershire.

Disappointed with the content
This book was not what I expected at all. The layout was confusing and I found the information to be repetitive. It didn't really capture the essence of Ashby De La Zouch like I hoped it would. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a lively history!
