Auf der einen Seite kann man Prferwechsel aus internen Beweggrnden beobachten. Auf der anderen Seite wird in der ffentlichkeit ein Prferwechsel z.B. wegen Verdacht der Kumpanei' gefordert. Doch welche Grnde tatschlich zu einem Prferwechsel fhren und welche Rahmenbedingungen dem ganzen zugrunde liegen, ist den meisten unbekannt und soll hier weiter untersucht werden. Zahlreiche ffentlich bekannt gewordene Problemflle wie z.B. FlowTex, Phillip Holzmann, Comroad, Phenomedia und Enron haben die Wirtschaftsprfer in eine Glaubenskrise gefhrt. Die Erwartungslcke ist grer als je zuvor. Mit dem Wechsel des Abschlussprfers, so denkt man, kann man die Unabhngigkeit des Prfers untersttzen und solche Probleme eventuell im Keim ersticken. Ob eine, vor dem KonTraG stndig geforderte, gesetzliche Rotationspflicht die Unabhngigkeit des Prfers erhht? Ergeben sich dadurch andere, vielleicht schwerwiegendere, Nachteile?
