English summary: This critical and annotated text edition, including indices of people, places, Bible passages and keywords, contains August Hermann Francke's (16631727) oldest diary, covering the period from January 13th to May 19th 1714. The diary constitutes the first part of a series of written records documenting the period up to spring 1726 and is as a consequence an early modern eyewitness report of great significance. This text edition should attract attention to source material that has so far remained systematically unexamined as well as to its academic potential. For this purpose, documentation and brief explanations for all of the persons, letters, prints and issues mentioned in the text are provided alongside the text itself and its various versions. The text edition thus provides conclusions that can help facilitate an academic evaluation of the diary in the context of micro and macrohistorical developments. Research based on these sources should provide insights into the establishment of the concept of Pietism in contrast to the concept of the Early Enlightenment during the early 18th century, both of which concern the previously little explored later years of Francke's life and at the same time should help to contextualize this protagonist of Hallensian Pietism amongst constellations and interactions reaching far beyond Halle itself. German description: Die vorliegende kritische und kommentierte sowie mit Personen, Orts, Bibelstellen und Sachregister versehene Edition bietet das den Zeitraum vom 13. Januar bis 19. Mai 1714 umfassende alteste Tagebuch August Hermann Franckes (16631727). Dieses Tagebuch bildet den ersten Teil einer bis zum Fruhjahr 1726 reichenden Uberlieferung und somit eines fruhneuzeitlichen Selbstzeugnisses von herausragender Bedeutung. Mit der Edition soll auf diese bislang nicht systematisch ausgewertete Quelle aufmerksam gemacht und ihr potenzieller wissenschaftlicher Ertrag aufgezeigt werden. Dazu werden ausser dem Text selbst und dessen Entstehungsvarianten zu allen erwahnten Personen, Briefen, Drucken sowie Sachverhalten so weit wie moglich Nachweise und kurze Erlauterungen geboten. Insofern stellt die Edition Rechercheergebnisse bereit, die eine wissenschaftliche Auswertung des Tagebuchs im Kontext mikro und makrohistorischer Zusammenhange erleichtern. Untersuchungen auf dieser Quellenbasis lassen Erkenntnisse im Blick auf die Etablierung der "Marke Pietismus" im Gegenuber zur "Marke Fruhaufklarung" im fruhen 18. Jahrhundert erwarten, die die bislang kaum untersuchten spaten Lebensjahre Franckes betreffen und diesen Protagonisten des hallischen Pietismus zugleich in weit uber Halle hinausreichenden Konstellationen und Interaktionen verorten.
