Der Literaturwissenschaftler Jakob Baechtold hat sich der Aufzeichnungen des Pdagogen Johann Georg Mller angenommen und diese in Bezug auf dessen Besuche im Hause des Dichters und Philosophen Johann Gottfried Herder gesichtet. Mllers Aufzeichnungen waren ursprnglich nicht fr eine breite ffentlichkeit bestimmt, so dass es Baechtold mit der hier vorliegenden Verffentlichung gelingt, ein sehr privates und intimes Bild Herders zu zeichnen. Sorgfltig bearbeiteter Nachdruck der Originalausgabe von 1881.
