Ausfhrlich berichtet er zudem ber seine Ttigkeit als Grndungssenator der Technischen Universitt HamburgHarburg und seine prgende Mitwirkung nach der Wiedervereinigung bei der Restitution der Hochschulen in den neuen Bundeslndern. Herausgehoben widmet er sich seiner Kooperation mit der Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey in Kalifornien und den sich daraus ergebenden Kontakten zu Land und Leuten in den USA.
