Der Einsatz des Instrumentariums basiert auf der Einteilung des Auswahlverfahrens in eine Grob und eine Feinauswahl. Im Rahmen der Grobauswahl werden dem zuknftigen EDVAnwender Kriterien zur Verfgung gestellt, mit denen er seine unternehmensspezifischen Anforderungen an ein IPSSystem zu einem Anforderungsprofil verdichten kann, dem die Leistungsprofile von IPSStandardsystemen gegenbergestellt werden. Als Ergebnis ergibt sich eine Klasse von Standardsystemen, die die Eingangsgren der Feinauswahl darstellen. Das Feinauswahlsystem basiert auf der Nutzwertanalyse. Hierzu wird ein hierarchisch strukturiertes Zielsystem vorgestellt, das ber 280 Bewertungsmerkmale mit bis zu jeweils fnf Ausprgungsstufen aufweist. Weiterhin stellt die vorliegende Arbeit einen umfassenden Nutzenkatalog zur Verfgung, mit dessen Hilfe unternehmensspezifische Gewichtungsfaktoren fr die Nutzwertanalyse ermittelt werden knnen.
