Development Permit is the most important function of RAJUK and for that matter of any City Development Authority. Maintaining information of all the development activities within the DMDP jurisdiction is a mammoth task and maintain them in the present manual method is neither possible nor necessary. Planning permission consents the land owner to construct any structure on his/her land in the coverage area of master plan. It is the only technique to make the master plan implemented. RAJUK can control the development within DMDP boundary extensively through issuing the planning permission in an appropriate way. But the traditional way of planning permission made this process so lengthy and ambiguous which in turn made the people inspire to not issue the planning permission. This study mainly focused on the drawbacks of traditional land use clearance procedure and finally tried to suggest a way to develop the land use clearance permission procedure automated.
