He photographed and wrote a bilingual children's books in China, To Grandmother's House: A Visit to OldTown Beijing (January 2008). A book featuring his collection of glass negatives. Lincoln in Black and White 19101925. was also published in 2008. A number of photographs in the book have been acquired by the Smithsonian Institution. His thirtyeighth book, Forever LA which features cemeteries in the Los Angeles Area was published in May 2010. His thirtyninth book, Stories in Stone New York: A Field Guide to New York City Cemeteries and Their Residents was released in October 2011 by Gibbs Smith Publisher. He is also writing Boneyard Bonanza his second novel in the Chick Corbett Yarns series. Up next in his cemetery series will be Stories in Stone Paris which is slated for publication in 2013. Keister has appeared on a number of television programs including CBS SUNDAY MORNING AUTUMN in SUMMER is his second novel.
