Southern Californias pool culture is the subject of this unique and luscious collection of photographs that explore the parallel evolution of an iconic symbol and an artistic genre. Since the end of World War II, Southern Californias backyard poolsthose bluegreen oases in an otherwise often arid landscapehave symbolized any number of American ideals: optimism, wealth, consumerism, escape, physical beauty, and the triumph of man over nature. I was excited to receive the Southern California pool photography, but the delivery took longer than expected. The prints are nice, but I was hoping for a bit more clarity in the images. Still, they look good on my wall!

The Backyard Oasis photos are decent, but the colors looked a bit different in person compared to the online images. They’re still nice, but I was hoping for more brightness. Not a bad purchase overall, though!

Beautiful Imagery but Fragile
The photos from Backyard Oasis are absolutely beautiful. However, I found that one arrived slightly damaged. The colors are stunning, but I wish the packaging was more protective. Just be careful when unboxing!
