Dabei nimmt aber auch die Bedeutung von Pflege und Intensivierung bestehender Kundenverbindungen stetig zu. Im Sachversicherungsbereich leiden die Versicherer unter dem harten Preiskampf, whrend die Lebensversicherer erhhtes Wachstum durch die private und betriebliche Altersversorgung prognostizieren. Neukunden knnen grtenteils nur ber die Kunden des Wettbewerbers und dessen Verdrngung gewonnen werden. Schutz vor Verdrngung bietet nur eine enge Bindung des Kunden an das eigene Unternehmen. Kundenbeziehungen werden ber einen lngeren Nutzungs und Wiederkaufzyklus aufgebaut. Eine Voraussetzung hierfr ist die Zufriedenheit des Kunden in allen Phasen des Konsumprozesses. Dies erfordert das Umsetzten der Unternehmensstrategie durch ein unbeirrtes Wirken aller Unternehmensteile auf die Ziele des Unternehmens. In vielen Unternehmen fehlt eine institutionalisierte und methodisch gesttzte Verbindung zwischen strategischen Unternehmenszielen und operativer Planung der Bereiche und Abteilungen jedoch. Je weiter die Mitarbeiter in der Hierarchieebene vom TopManagement entfernt sind, desto strker ist die Strategieneutralitt ausgeprgt. Dabei kann gerade ohne die Mitarbeiter im Vertrieb eine Strategieumsetzung nicht gelingen. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, das Konzept der Balanced Scorecard dem Vertrieb der Versicherungsgesellschaften anzupassen.
