In September 1955 The First Issue Of The Banner Of Truth Magazine Appeared. The Concern Of Its First Editors, Sidney Norton And Iain Murray, Was Not To Establish A New Christian Magazine At That Time; Rather What They Sought Was A Recovery Of Those Truths That Declared Salvation To Be A Work Of Divine Grace. To Secure That End, The Magazine Unashamedly Promoted An Older Form Of Christian Literature, The Kind Of Which Was Not Widely Available In 1950S Britain. And So, From The Pages Of This Outwardly Unattractive Magazine, The Voices Of Long Dead And Forgotten Reformers And Puritans Sounded Once Again.
