I was really looking forward to Barefoot Gen Vol. 2, but it arrived with some pages creased and the cover was slightly damaged. The story itself is powerful, but I wish it had come in better shape. Not sure if I want to order more from this seller.

An awesome sequel!
Barefoot Gen Vol. 2 really dives deep into the aftermath of the bomb, and it's so intense. The illustrations are powerful, and the story is gripping. I bought it for my book club, and everyone was moved by the characters' struggles. Can't wait for the next one!

Interesting but a bit slow
I enjoyed reading Barefoot Gen Vol. 2, but it felt like it dragged a bit in parts. The historical context is important, but sometimes the pacing just didn't hold my attention. Still, I'm glad I read it for the perspective it offers.
