I enjoyed reading about the various cultural meanings attached to beads, but some sections felt a bit repetitive. The material is well-researched, and I think it could be a great reference for students in gender studies. Just wish it had a bit more variety in examples!

Not what I expected
I found this book to be lacking in the depth I was hoping for. The concept is interesting, but some parts felt shallow and didn’t really explore the topic as much as I'd have liked. It was okay, but I wouldn't say it wowed me.
