I had high hopes for this book, but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The storyline felt disjointed at times, and some characters seemed flat. I really wanted to love it, but I didn’t connect with it like I did with the original Shannara series.

I enjoyed 'Bearers of the Black Staff', but the pacing was a bit off at the beginning. Once it picked up, I was hooked! If you're a fan of the Shannara series, this is a good addition to the lore. Just be ready for a slow start before it gets exciting.
