The Apostle Peter, the main focus of Before the Dawn: A Night of Memories, was sure he had it all together. He had recognized Jesus as the Son of God. Surely, he should be able to follow him to the death. Not only does he fail to stay away and pray in the hour of need, he joins the rest of the disciples in running for his life when Jesus is apprehended. He does manage to gather enough courage to follow at a distance, but immediately fulfills Jesus prediction by denying he ever knew the man. He is burdened with his grief and great sense of guilt. Many stories of how Jesus touched and changed lives are shared as the night before the first day of the week slowly gives way to morning. The combinations of unlikely partners in grief makes the night memorable. Hope replaces grief and joy replaces sorrow.
