Entries include the vessels name, the date lost the approximate location, the source in the Official Records, number of artillery pieces on board, their size of shot, and a synopsis from the battle report. The index is by location to aid researchers and sightseers to find wrecks in the neighborhood. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.

I picked up 'Beneath the Waters: Guide to Civil War Shipwrecks' and couldn’t put it down! The detailed accounts really bring the history alive, and the illustrations are top-notch. Perfect for anyone interested in maritime history or the Civil War.

Disappointing Quality of Print
I was excited to read 'Beneath the Waters', but when it arrived, the print quality was poor. Some pages were blurry, making it hard to enjoy the pictures. The content is interesting, but I was let down by the execution.

Good Info, But Lacks Depth
This book has some great information about Civil War shipwrecks, but I was hoping for a bit more depth in each section. It’s still a decent read if you’re curious about the topic, but don’t expect exhaustive details.
