Aus diesem Grunde verfUgt das Berufsforde rungswerk iiber zusatzliche Fachdienste, die in gemeinsamer Arbeit wahrend der Ausbildung und im Sinne nachsorgender Betreuung die Eingliederung auf breiter Basis vorbereiten. Die Orthopadie ist vonjeher diejenige medizinische Fachdis ziplin gewesen, die durch standige Konftontation mit den be sonderen Problem en Schwerbehinderter neue Wege im Rah men der Rehabilitation aufgezeigt hat. Ihre Arbeit ist stets umfassend ausgerichtet gewesen und hat iiber den klinischen Bereich hinaus immer auch den gesamten Lebensraum des Patienten in die Behandlung einbezogen. Es ist daher nicht verwunderlich, daB die Eroffnung neuer und weitreichender Moglichkeiten fUr den behinderten Menschen gerade von der Orthopadie mit Interesse verfolgt wird. Die Publikationen aus dem Bereich der Rehabilitationsarbeit sind inzwischen so zahlreich, daB eine Ubersicht fast unmog lich geworden ist. Urn so mehr wird es in Zukunft Aufgabe verschiedener Fachdienste sein, spezielle Tatigkeiten an dem gemeinsamen Ziel zu orientieren, wobei differenzierte Anga ben im Einzelfall, bei einem bestimmten Personenkreis oder besonderer Funktionsbereiche, fUr die Entwicklung neuer Konzeptionen von wesentlicher Bedeutung sind.
