1m vorliegenden Band werden in mehr oder weniger stark Oberarbeiteter Form Beitriige vorgestellt, die Praktikerinnen aus der Verwaltung, aus Be trieben, Kammem und Frauenprojekten sowie Wissenschaftlerinnen zur Ta gung "Arbeit teilen schafIen neugestalten. Arbeitsmarktund Struktur politik fur Frauen in der Region" beigesteuert haben. Das gro6e offentliche Interesse, auf das die VerknOpfung von Wirtschaftsund Gleichstellungs politik zumindest bei vielen Frauen schon seit Uingerem st06t, belegt etwa die mit knapp 300 Personen relativ hohe TeilnehmerInnenzahl. Inhaltlich konzentrierten sich die Themen der Tagung soweit regionale Handlungs moglichkeiten zur Diskussion standen auf den norddeutschen Raum, insbe sondere die Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg. Innerhalb des vorliegenden Bandes wird die Thematik: "Arbeitsmarkt und Strukturpolitik flir Frauen" in drei groBen Blocken abgehandelt: Mit der bisherigen Entwicklung des geschlechtshierarchischen Arbeits marktes und den Arbeitsmarktperspektiven von Frauen befassen sich die ersten heiden Beitrage. Friederike Maier (Fachhochschule for Wirt schaJt, Berlin) analysiert Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten der beruf lichen Situation von Frauen in den westeuropiiischen Landem und fragt nach zukOnftigen Entwicklungsmustem. Ute Brlimmer, Birgit Kempf, Ulla Knapp und Marita Spaar (alle: Hochschule for WirtschaJt und Po Utik, Hamburg) befassen sich mit der gleichen Thematik, allerdings mit einem kleinriiumigeren Bezug: sie untersuchen Struktur und Entwick lung der Frauenbeschiiftigung in Westdeutschland, in den westdeut schen Ballungszentren und insbesondere im Raum Hamburg.
