Nach dem ersten Band der neuen Serie erscheint jetzt als zweiter Band der erste von zwei Teilen der lateinischen Handschriften des AugustinerChorherrenstifts Eberhardsklausen. Dieses Stift wurde 1456 mit massgeblicher Unterstutzung der Konvente von Boddeken und Niederwerth gegrundet und 1461 der Windesheimer Kongregation eingegliedert. Innerhalb kurzer Zeit entstand eine ansehnliche Bibliothek, von der sich heute der grosste Teil (ca. 190 Handschriften und 166 Inkunabeln) in der Stadtbibliothek Trier befindet. 69 Handschriften aus dem 12. bis 16. Jahrhundert (neben alteren Fragmenten) werden in diesem Band vorgestellt, wovon 33 im Eberhardsklausener Skriptorium geschrieben und 47 in der Werkstatt des Stifts gebunden wurden. Die Zugehorigkeit Eberhardsklausens zu den Windesheimern spiegelt sich im Inhalt der Handschriften wieder, der ganz deren Lekturekanon entspricht, hier sind es Bibelkommentare, Kirchenvatertexte, darunter hauptsachlich Augustinus, aszetische Traktatliteratur usw. Hervorzuheben sind einige Handschriften (und Inkunabeln) des Burener Pfarrers Johannes Pilter, die nach Eberhardsklausen gekommen sind.
