Die klassische Budgetierung als zentraler Bestandteil der Unternehmensfhrung ist aufgrund des zu zeitaufwndigen Prozesses, der zu geringen Anpassungsfhigkeit, der zu schwachen Verbindung mit strategischen Zielen sowie der isolierten Denkweise einzelner Abteilungen im Unternehmen in Kritik geraten. Die jhrliche Disposition mit fixierten Zielvorgaben gilt als berholt und als Hindernis fr Unternehmen, die heute flexibler agieren mssen. Aus der Kritik an dem Konzept der klassischen Budgetierung entstand u. a. das Modell des Beyond Budgeting als Revolution der Budgetierung, die eine vllige Abschaffung der Budgetierung vorsieht. Primres Ziel ist die Bereitstellung eines anpassungsfhigen Planungs und Kontrollkonzeptes. Das Better Budgeting hingegen ist als Evolution der klassischen Budgetierung zu betrachten, die in erster Linie versucht die Budgetierungsprozesse effizienter zu gestalten. Das Ziel der nachfolgenden Arbeit besteht darin zu untersuchen, inwiefern alternative Budgetierungsanstze die klassische Budgetierung ersetzen knnen. Im Rahmen der Ausarbeitung wird zunchst auf die klassische Budgetierung und deren Kritikpunkte eingegangen. Im darauf folgenden Kapitel werden alternative Budgetierungsanstze vorgestellt und nher erlutert. Im Anschluss wird anhand eines Praxisbeispiels die Realisierung des Konzeptes dargestellt. Abschlieend wird das Konzept des Better und Beyond Budgeting bewertet und hinsichtlich der Implementierung des Konzeptes in Unternehmen kritisch gewrdigt.
