Beyond the Red Gate is the first book in a trilogy, Three Young Ladies of Clarke. The early 1900's signaled a turning point for women as opportunities became available for those who wanted to work outside the home and gain a sense of independence. Her first position, in her native county of Clarke, Virginia, leads to unexpected trials, lasting friendships, and a road to her future.
