There Are Even Castes Whose Entry Into A Village Or Town Defiles Entire Villages. Nowadays, Public Opinion Has Been Shaken In Many Places Regarding This Issue Of Untouchability. Those Fortunate Enough To Be Born Into Higher Castes Often Dislike This Idea, And Those Unfortunately Born Into So-Called Lower Castes Are No Longer Willing To Consider Themselves Completely Inferior And Degraded. However, Attempts To Suppress Those Lower Than Themselves Are Often Visible Among The Lower Castes. Swami Dayanand Says, Instead Of Innumerable Caste Divisions In India, There Should Be Only Four Varnas. These Four Varnas Should Also Be Determined By Qualities And Actions, Not By Birth. No Varna Should Be Deprived Of The Rights Of The Vedas. Mahatma Gandhi Is Against Untouchability, But Not Against The Varna System. Varna System Is Inherent In Human Nature; Hinduism Has Established It In A Scientific Form. Varna Is Determined By Birth; No One Can Change It At Will.
