Dies habe ich in Gesellschaftstheorie 1 und Recht insbesondere anhand der Theoriebeitrge von Marx, Durkheim und Weber im Detail nachzuzeichnen versucht. In Fortfhrung einer Suche nach den juridischen Ursprngen des soziologischen Denkens mchte ich nunmehr untersuchen, welchen systematischen Stellenwert Kunst und Alltagssthetik in den Entwrfen zum Verstndnis der Moderne einnimmt. Neben Georg Simmel ist Emile Durkheim besonders aufschlureich. Ver schliet seine Kritik des sthetizismus der Soziologie den Zugang zu sthetischen Phnomenen oder liefert gerade der juridisch und religionssoziologisch argumentierende Durkheim ein Instrument, der Kunst einen deutlichen Platz in der Gesellschaftstheorie anzu weisen? Auch in Webers Bild des okzidentalen Rationalismus sind der Stellenwert der Kunst und die Bedeutung der sthetik fr das All tagshandeln unterbelichtet Schlielich ist Webers Projekt einer So ziologie der Kulturund Kunstinhalte nicht mehr zur Ausfhrung ge langt.
