Others have written about the rise of HewlettPackard, including Dave Packard himself in The HP Way. But acclaimed journalist Michael S. Malone is the first to get the full story, based on exclusive access to corporate and private archives, along with hundreds of interviews.Malone draws on his new material to show how some of the most influential products of our time were invented and how a culture of innovation led HP to unparalleled success for decades. He also shows what was really behind the HP Waythe groundbreaking management philosophy that put people ahead of products or profits. It was a hardnosed business philosophy that created a ferociously competitive and adaptive companyarguably the worlds greatest company.

I expected more depth from this book. The early chapters about their struggles were interesting, but later sections felt repetitive and less engaging. I think it needed a tighter focus on key moments in HP’s growth. Not what I hoped for.

Good Insights but Some Fluff
I enjoyed learning about HP’s history and the founders' philosophies, but I felt some parts dragged on a bit. While the stories are compelling, I was hoping for a bit more actionable advice. Still, it's a decent read for anyone interested in tech history.

An Inspiring Read for Entrepreneurs
As a small business owner, I found this book about Hewlett and Packard's journey really inspiring. The way they navigated challenges and built their company from the ground up is truly motivating. If you're looking for insights on innovation and teamwork, this is a must-read!
