Dies hat erkenntnistheoretische Griinde: Qualitative Methoden operieren gleichsam noch unterhalb der je disziplinspezifischen Zugange und Theoriemodelle. Ais Methoden der Interpretation und Analyse Oberbriicken sie die Diskrepanz zwischen diesen unterschiedlichen Theoriemodellen einerseits und dem, was Gegenstand theoretischer Aussagen ist, namlich dem Alltagshandeln, den alltaglichen Praktiken der Konstruktion und Typenbildung, andererseits. Qualitative Methoden leisten zuallererst die ReKonstruktion alltaglicher Konstruktionen. Es geht also darum, der natiirlichen, d. h. der alltaglichen, routinisierten Ordnung und der Wissensbestande derjenigen, die Gegenstand der Forschung sind, Rechnung zu tragen, und die Geordnetheit ihrer kommu nikativen Regelsysteme zur Explikation zu bringen. Bereits im Alltag und nicht erst von Seiten der Forscher werden Interpretationen erbracht, Typen gebildet und Theorien konstruiert. Dariiberhinaus verfOgen wir alle wie dies zuerst die Ethnomethodologen gesehen haben bereits im Alltag Ober Methoden. Auch sie gilt es zu rekonstruieren oder zu explizieren.
