Das Leitthema der 2l. Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft fr Plastische und Wiederherstellungschirurgie gilt Biomaterialien und Nahtmaterial. Durch den interdisziplinren Charakter unserer Gesellschaft bietet dieses Thema breite experimentelle und klinische Informationsmglichkeiten. Mag sich auch der klinische Einsatz alloplastischer Substanzen in den einzelnen Disziplinen durch unter schiedliche Aufgaben und Techniken der Einzelfcher unterscheiden, so sind die Grundgedanken des Einsatzes, die Bedeutung des Implantatlagers wie die Gewebe reaktionen auf die verschiedenen Biomaterialien und damit die daraus resultierenden Probleme weitgehend angeglichen.
