Unter dem Einflu politisch wacher und regimekritischer Kameraden aus dem Kohlenpott" mit zunehmender Skepsis gegenber dem braunen Bonzensystem, fhlt sich der Autor auf der Flugzeugfhrerschule hin und hergerissen zwischen seiner Begeisterung fr den Flugsport, der starken Bindung an die eindrucksvolle Kameradschaft seiner Fluggruppe auf der einen Seite sowie seiner zunehmenden Verweigerungshaltung auf der anderen. WS 1947/48 Beginn des Studiums der Germanistik und Anglistik in Bonn. I. Staatsexamen: 1953, zum Dr. phil. promoviert 1954. II. Staatsexamen 1955, nachfolgend Ttigkeit im Gymnasium und Studienseminar. 1961 Grndung einer Schlerfluggemeinschaft (SFG) am Gymnasium (Ausnutzung der pdagogischen Mglichkeiten des Segelflugs), von 1972 1989 weitgehend ehrenamtliche Ttigkeit als Fachberater des Kultusministers NRW fr den Flugsport an Schulen.
