Technische Fachhochschule Wildau, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Nicht erst die im September 2011 vorgestellte Studie der Universitten Lbeck und Greifswald zur Verbreitung der Internetabhngigkeit in Deutschland zeigt deutlich, dass die Internetsucht zu den Krankheiten einer modernen Gesellschaft gezhlt werden kann. Die Generation Y, nachfolgend GenY genannt, steht dabei besonders im Fokus, da diese Generation mit dem Internet aufgewachsen ist und nun in den Arbeitsmarkt eintritt. Ob in der Freizeit oder auf der Arbeit, den gefhrdeten bzw. bereits betroffenen Internetnutzern stehen zahlreiche Mglichkeiten zur Verfgung, ihr exzessives Internetnutzungsverhalten auszuleben. Neben der dienstlichen Nutzung des Internets, wie beispielsweise dem EMailverkehr, erstreckt sich mittlerweile die private Nutzung ber EMails hinaus, auch auf sog. Social Media Anwendungen. Es obliegt dem Human Resources Management, nachfolgend HRM genannt, sich zuknftig auch mit Herausforderungen wie der Internetsucht und den Auswirkungen am Arbeitsplatz auseinander zu setzen. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird das Internetnutzungsverhalten der GenY im Kontext der Internetsucht nher beleuchtet. Weiterhin soll die Relevanz dieser Problematik fr das HRM aufgezeigt und Handlungsanstze abgeleitet werden.
