An einer Hand abzuzhlen sind Filme, die sich um einen tieferen Einblick in den Blindenalltag bemhen. Die Perspektive eines Blinden einzunehmen, erweist sich geradezu als Quadratur des Kreises. Dennoch setzen Filmemacher Sehbehinderung und Blindheit immer wieder mit optischen oder akustischen Mitteln ins Bild. Behandelt werden nicht nur blinde Kinofiguren im Mainstream, auch 'besondere Filme', die wirklich etwas ber das Leben der blinden oder sehbehinderten Charaktere erzhlen, sind Teil der Untersuchung. Dazu gehrt Arthur Penns herausragender HelenKellerFilm Licht im Dunkel' ebenso wie Dancer in the Dark' von Lars von Trier, in dem die Sngerin Bjrk eine erblindende Frau spielt.
