down the blue bowl, little baby.
The sun is about to set, and it’s almost time for bed. But for the family in this cozy Appalachian farmhouse, it’s time for the comforting ritual of making bread. Just as mother and child will soon settle down for their rest, the dough is prepared in its special blue bowl and left to rest on the stove. And come morning, after they (and the dough) have risen, it’s time to savor a warm, satisfying breakfast and the start of a new day.

I got this as a gift for my sister who's into poetry. She loved it and said the Appalachian themes really resonate with her. It’s well-bound and looks beautiful on her shelf. Worth the buy!

I was excited to receive 'Blue Bowl Down,' but the cover had a dent when it arrived. The content is beautiful, but it was disappointing to get it in less than perfect condition. I still enjoy the poems though!

A delightful read!
I bought this for my daughter who loves poetry, and she couldn't put it down. The poems are sweet and the illustrations bring them to life beautifully. Highly entertaining for kids and adults alike!

The poems are nice, but I expected a bit more depth. Some verses felt a bit repetitive. Still, I enjoyed flipping through it and the illustrations are a nice touch. Just not what I was hoping for.
