Es existieren zu diesem Gegenstand wenig umfangreiche Quellen und so erfordert es vielmehr eine Einbeziehung verschiedener, deren Zusammenfhrung ein differenziertes Bild ber die Struktur und Dynamik der Migrationsbewegungen ergibt. Die unterschiedlichen Datenquellen und Zugnge werden zu Beginn dieser Arbeit in kurzer Form dargestellt. Im nchsten Teil wird die Entwicklung der Aus und auch Einwanderung von deutschen Staatsbrgern nher betrachtet und anschlieend die Ziellnder und das Bildungs und Qualifikationsniveau als Selektivitt der Migranten dargestellt. Um der Frage nach einem tatschlichen Brain Drain nachzugehen, beziehen sich die danach folgenden Kapitel auf das Ausma und die Formen der Auswanderung Hochqualifizierter. An dieser Stelle sollen nicht nur die zahlenmigen Daten benannt werden, es soll auch speziell auf die Wanderungsgedanken, die Realisierung dieser Plne und die Motive der Auswanderung eingegangen werden. Interessant sind hier auch die Untersuchungen zur Dauer des Auslandsaufenthaltes. Der letzte groe Punkt bei der Betrachtung der Arbeitsmigration widmet sich dem klassischen Einwanderungsziel den USA. Um das Verstndnis der Phnomene zur Auswanderung Deutscher und speziell zur Migration der Hochqualifizierten zu gewhrleisten, geht es im Fazit noch einmal zusammenfassend um die Frage, ob in Deutschland tatschlich von einem Brain Drain gesprochen werden kann oder die Phnomene nicht ganz so definiert zu betrachten sind.
