Caroline Cassidy is a remarkable woman. But the few leads that she discovers take them across the country by train, eventually to Washington State. When James Svensen disappears from her Chicago apartment and months later is traced to his sailboat hidden in the British Columbia fiord country, she goes to extreme measures to track him down. Her motives are no longer those of a doctor/patient relationship.
